Can you help me?
Chiropractic care is natural, whole body care that helps people with many different health problems, from back pain to fibromyalgia and headaches. While your first visit to a chiropractor may be to relieve pain in the lower back or to treat sciatica, neck pain, whiplash or headache, you will find that a chiropractor views you as a whole person and not the sum of your parts.
Because chiropractic is so effective in relieving musculoskeletal pain, the clinic provides care for a wide range of problems from auto accidents and work injuries to sports injuries, repetitive motion syndromes, overuse injuries, arthritis, disc injuries, painful degeneration, and chronic pain. We will work in partnership with you to ensure your optimal health and wellness.
Can I be seen today?
We offer “same day appointments”. Five highly qualified, experienced and licensed Doctors of Chiropractic are on staff to serve your healthcare needs. We understand that your time is valuable and will always make every effort to accommodate your schedule.
Will it hurt?
Generally, chiropractic adjustments help to reduce pain and are therefore not considered painful in application. Certain reactions may be experienced, the most common being the aching or soreness in the spinal joints or muscles similar to overexertion when exercising. Soreness usually goes away within 12 to 48 hours. Other techniques, such as electrical muscle stimulation, massage, heat or ice may be applied to relax your muscles and nerves to relieve pain and speed up the healing process. Generally you will feel pain relief after an adjustment.
Is Chiropractic care safe?
Yes. Chiropractic care is safer than back surgery, muscle relaxers and pain killers. Chiropractic has an excellent safety record because it is a natural, conservative approach to health care that avoids the use of drugs and surgery.
Will I need to keep coming back?
The number of visits you make to your chiropractor depends on the nature of your condition and your personal goals. Many people use chiropractic as part of a preventive health care routine, scheduling chiropractic appointments on a regular basis to keep their bodies functioning at their best. Others seek care and treatment for specific conditions with the primary goal of treatment being pain relief. It is important for you to discuss your objectives with your chiropractor in order to develop a treatment plan that works best for you.
Keep in mind that healing rates vary from person to person. Children tend to respond more quickly to treatment, whereas adults and seniors may respond more slowly. A good rule of thumb is that the longer the spine has not been working properly, or the severity of the injury, the more extensive the care plan may be to achieve desired results.
Many spinal problems are actually caused in early childhood and then are further complicated by the falls, jolts and other injuries incurred during the ongoing life experience. These early injuries, therefore, set the clock in motion and then influence the recovery rate of recent traumas. With this knowledge, it is easy to understand why it sometimes takes several weeks of care to benefit a chronic (long standing) spinal condition that actually existed for 30 years. To clarify why it takes time and repeat visits to correct chronic spinal conditions, consider orthodontic care. It takes time and braces (impulse force) to align teeth. In similar manner, it takes time and chiropractic adjustments (direct force) to align the spine.
Will you refer me if you are unable to help me?
We accept only those cases that we believe will be benefited by chiropractic care. Doctors of chiropractic work in tandem with other healthcare professionals. If your condition requires attention from another branch of the healthcare profession, that recommendation or referral will be made.
